Biography
Mister Phytos Neophytou was born in Larnaca, Cyprus in 1965 and as a second-generation jewelry manufacturer and developer, he started his career in the family business Neophytou Jewellery in 1987, specializing in Diamond and Gold Jewelry. Throughout his career, Mister Neophytou has gained extensive experience in all stages of the manufacturing and development cycle, with a strong focus on dynamic distribution. His background in project management and customer relations has allowed Mister Neophytou to excel in his field.
Education
To strengthen his expertise in the field, Mister Neophytou pursued education and training in various aspects of jewelry manufacturing and design. He completed a course in Handmade Jewellery, Setting, and Design at the Accademia Riaci in Florence, Italy, from 1984 to 1987. In 1998, and attended the Jewellery and Settings School Antonis Michael in Larnaka, focusing on diamond and setting techniques. To further enhance his knowledge, Phytos completed the GIA Diamond Grading Lab in 2009 in Florence, Italy. In 2019, he participated in the Advance Diamond, Intermediate Gems & Opal Workshop at the Swiss Canadian Gem Lab in Limassol, Cyprus. The same year, Mister Neophytou also attended a course on Rough Sorting and Planning at HRD Antwerp in Belgium.
Experience
Phytos has held several significant roles within the jewelry industry. Since 2008, he has been serving as the President of the Cyprus Jewellers Association, where he have contributed to the growth and development of the industry. From 1998 to the present, Mister Neophytou has been the General Manager of Neophytou Bros Ltd, and since 2005, he has also taken on the role of General Manager at N B Jewellery Ltd. In these positions, he has been responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of Diamond and Gold Jewelry.
Additionally, Mister Neophytou has had the opportunity to participate in international industry exhibitions, trade missions, meetings, conferences, and deliver speeches. These experiences have allowed Phytos to expand his network and stay updated with the latest technology, trends and advancements in the field.
He has also collaborated with senior developers in managing large and complex design projects for corporate clients. This has honed his skills in project management, decision-making, and problem-solving.
Certifications
Mister Neophytou has obtained several certifications to validate his skills and commitment to quality. In 2002, he received the Cyprus Certification Company CYS EN ISO 9001:2000 certification, followed by the IQNet ΕΛΟΤ ΕΝ ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2005. In 2019, Phytos became an Antwerp World Diamond DNA Ambassador, further solidifying his expertise in the diamond industry.
